Healthy at last, DeMarcus Cousins stoked to be with Rockets

For all it took to get here, all the pain endured and patience tested, DeMarcus Cousins can at last celebrate a simple fact.

“Man,” he said Thursday, “I feel incredible.”

It was a long time coming, from the Achilles injury with the Pelicans, the quad injury with the Warriors, the knee injury with the Lakers, and all the rehab it took to the daily workouts that have turned heads at Toyota Center since Cousins signed with the Rockets as a free agent.

The road back was grueling for the four-time All-Star and is certainly not complete. Cousins has played just 30 games in nearly two seasons since suffering his Achilles injury against the Rockets in January 2019. He did not play at all last season, having injured his ACL in an August 2019 pickup game after signing with the Lakers.

But with all that it took to come this far,

Brandon Aiyuk set to rejoin 49ers’ now-healthy playmakers vs. Bills

The 49ers’ offense could be getting healthy at just the right time.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel didn’t practice Thursday, but coach Kyle Shanahan shared that Samuel didn’t suffer a setback from the hamstring injury that kept him out of the three games prior to last week’s win over the Los Angeles Rams. Shanahan expects Samuel to be ready for the team’s Monday night showdown with the Buffalo Bills.

Rookie wideout Brandon Aiyuk was removed from the Reverse/COVID-19 list on Wednesday and will suit up Monday. Week 13 will mark just the fifth time that both young receivers will be on the field at the same time in 2020.

In a season marred my injuries, pandemic safety protocols and now a relocation, Shanahan is proud of the 49ers’ resiliency. He hopes that translates to improved play on the field as important players return

High demand for healthy Christmas tree crop | Business News

Christmas tree sales

Kate and Connor Emmel, of Madison, shop for a pre-cut Christmas tree at Hann’s Christmas Farm in the town Oregon. Customers can also choose to cut their own tree.

Greg Hann’s father planted his first tree in the town of Oregon in 1968. The 50-acre Hann’s Christmas Farm on Tipperary Road now has 48,000 trees that are sold to families who come to buy one already cut or hike the property to pick and cut their own. Hann, who purchased the business in 2000, said the weekends before and after Thanksgiving brought in droves of customers eager for a tree and who also took advantage of ideal weather. Many of his customers haven’t had a live tree for years but want more of an experience this year amid the pandemic.

“”It’s not specifically ‘oh we need a live tree,'” Hann said. “It’s all the memories and

“Hopefully, it’s a little bit more positive than what I’ve had in 2020. Obviously I’m going to do a lot of work in the off weeks. The holidays are coming up and there’s some time to spend with the family which I will do, but I’m also looking forward to working on my swing, trying to do a little bit of change for my back. And then also start working with a new coach so that’ll be fun.

Etsy Can Stay Healthy Without Face Masks

Etsy seems to have cornered 2020’s key fashion accessory.

The company generated more than $600 million in gross merchandise sales on face masks alone in the second and third quarters, helping its share price more than triple this year. So what happens when mask sales, which are already on the decline, go away? Early holiday sales data are encouraging, suggesting Etsy could continue to climb, buoyed by more-sustainable categories and a defensible business model.

In its third-quarter report, Etsy said masks’ percentage of gross merchandise sales had dropped to 11%. It cited a steady monthly deceleration, expecting mask sales to be substantially lower in the fourth quarter compared with a quarter earlier.

Still, data from Edison Trends show that Etsy expanded online customer spending on Cyber Monday by 73% year-over-year—well ahead of top retailers such as Target and Amazon , at 43% and 19%, respectively.

Tagovailoa is considered day-to-day, with hopes the swelling he is experiencing can subside from the injury he suffered during a practice last Wednesday in preparation for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.

Tagovailoa has a chance to return as the Dolphins’ starting quarterback when the team hosts the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 6, a league source told the South Florida Sun Sentinel on Sunday.

The NFL Network also reported Sunday that Tagovailoa could see a “multi-game absence, but there is no way of telling” before he returns to practice this week.

The Dolphins will start 16-year veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick against the Jets with hopes to improve

The team hopes a better start leads to a different finish.

The franchise has yet to outrun the discussion of the flaws that allowed last season to stunningly fall apart in the Western Conference semifinals after leading the best-of-seven series 3-1. After a blowout Game 7 loss to Denver, their
