This week, the Golden State Warriors guard and Under Armour announced the debut of Curry Brand, a new division similar to Nike’s popular Jordan Brand line of apparel.

Curry will be offering shoes, clothing, and accessories for a number of sports, including basketball and golf.

According to USA Today, Curry has been a longtime partner with Under Armour and signed with the company in 2013.

The 32-year-old NBA star also debuted a logo for the brand featuring his stylized initials with a “high wing,” which is meant to represent the hand gesture Curry makes after hitting a three-pointer.

Steph Curry, Under Armour Look To Cut Into Nike’s Shoe And Apparel Dominance

Under Armour (UAA) on Monday announced a new deal with Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry that will directly compete with Nike’s Jordan brand.

Curry Brand, which launches Tuesday, is focused on reaching a younger consumer demographic, according to CNBC. The brand will have golf and basketball apparel for both men and women. Performance basketball shoes will be available on Dec. 11. 

“We wanted to make sure we did this as close as possible to the NBA season finally launching … and the fact that we’re launching in between Black Friday and the holidays we think is very opportune,” said Under Armour CEO Patrik Frisk.

Under Armour  (UA) – Get Report and National Basketball Association star Steph Curry formed a brand to sell footwear, apparel and accessories for multiple sports including basketball and golf.

Curry, who plays for the Golden State Warriors, is one of the best players in the NBA and is a talented golfer.

The formation of the Curry Brand is likely an attempt to challenge Nike’s  (NKE) – Get Report Jordan Brand, named for Chicago Bulls basketball icon Michael Jordan, CNBC reports.
