Thankful any way

It’s more difficult to be thankful this year. We’re isolated more than ever, not just on this holiday, but in terms of our daily lives and normal activities.

Maybe that’s why we’re more focused than ever on finding things for which to be grateful here at the 5-at-10 Compound.

We’re thankful for each other, of course.

We’re more thankful than ever to be healthy, because of the real-life knowledge that so many fewer can say that this year compared to last.

My son is thankful for the sacrifice his teachers and school administrators have made to make the school year as close to normal as possible.

My daughter was thankful her softball coaches were able to craft something close to a season during the late summer and early fall.

My wife is thankful for our many blessings, our consistent laughter, our strong faith and our

Kieran Tierney in Celtic t-shirt throwback as Arsenal star channels Scott Brown in Norway

They say Scots are tough and Kieran Tierney is certainly showing that once more at Arsenal.

While many top class footballers are covered in snoods, scarves, hats and gloves while they’re training, Tierney was showing the skills he learned from his Celtic days with Scott Brown.

The Hoops skipper famously walked around St Petersburg with in -11 temperatures in just a t-shirt and Tierney has followed suit in not feeling the cold.

Arsenal are currently in Norway to take on Molde in the Europa League group stage and were training at the Aker Stadion before the game when Tierney was spotted in a t-shirt and shorts in training.

Some of his team-mates had tight leggings, big jackets, gloves, hats and jumpers on but Tierney was getting stuck in and must have been freezing cold.

The temperature was -5 degrees in Norway at the time but you wouldn’t have known about

Jordan Henderson admits Liverpool ‘got it wrong’ with Luis Suarez t-shirt support

Blood Red: If Liverpool were to pick up one player in Barcelona fire sale, it should be Luis Suarez

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has opened up on how he regrets wearing a t-shirt in support of Luis Suarez before his side’s clash with Wigan Athletic back in 2011.

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra clashed with the forward in a game at Anfield in October 2011, with Suarez then given an eight-game suspension after a two-month investigation by the FA following the incident.

Suarez received the ban and his fine of £40,000 the day prior to the fixture at Wigan’s DW stadium, and in a show of support towards their team-mate, Liverpool’s players wore t-shirts with ‘Suarez 7’ on them during their warm-up.

The move was widely condemned and Henderson has admitted his regret.

“You learn a lot from experiences. I was a young player at

Jordan Henderson admits Luis Suarez T-shirt regret after racist abuse of Patrice Evra

Jordan Henderson regrets wearing a T-shirt in support of Luis Suarez after the Uruguayan racially abused Patrice Evra in 2011.

The Anfield incident happened in the same year that Anton Ferdinand was abused by John Terry in the explosive west London derby between QPR and Chelsea.

Liverpool, then managed by Sir Kenny Dalglish, showed their support for Suarez in the warm-up for a game at Wigan that December.

Henderson, who played with Ferdinand at Sunderland, said: ”I was a young player at the time. It was something I had never experienced before.

“Looking back at it now I am not sure the club dealt with it in the best way. We thought about Luis but we didn’t think about protecting Patrice.

ESPN’s Jay Williams: Sports, Culture, and Leadership

JAY WILLIAMS: Race is a part of understanding people. Race is a part of empathizing with somebody. You may not have gone through the experience, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t relate. That doesn’t mean that you can’t try to understand. If you don’t have a high EQ [emotional intelligence], if you can’t read people or empathize or try to understand, I don’t think you’re an efficient leader.

PORTER BRASWELL: From HBR Presents, this is Race at Work – the show where we explore how race affects our careers and our lives. I’m Porter Braswell. I left a Wall Street career to start a company called Jopwell because I wanted to help corporate America build a more diverse workforce. Each week, we talk to a different leader about their journey with race, equity, and inclusion. These are the conversations we don’t usually have at work. But this show is

New t-shirt available to commemorate Taysom Hill sticking it to the haters

“He’s just a gimmick player.”

“He’s just a gadget quarterback.”

“There’s no way Taysom Hill can be an NFL starting quarterback.”

The haters were out there for New Orleans Saints QB/WR/RB/TE Taysom Hill, both outside of the New Orleans Saints fanbase and within. And what did Taysom do Sunday against the division rival Atlanta Falcons?

Hill silenced the haters with 284 yards of offense, completing 78% of his passes, and scoring two touchdowns on his way to leading the Saints to victory.

Not bad for a QB/WR/RB/TE, right?

That’s exactly what our pals at BreakingT, the home of real-time, officially-licensed sports shirts, thought as well. Here is their newest creation:

If you want to purchase one of these awesome shirts to commemorate Taysom Hill’s first ever career start – and hopefully the first of many wins for the New Orleans Saints – you can buy your shirt here.
